Do you think folks over at px! would be amenable to an invitation to join our fledgeling group?

Thanks for the heads-up!

Your experience there will be invaluable when we get to organizing stuff around here.

So, um. Hey, all.

If any of you aren't aware of it already and can't wait for us to get things organized enough to begin swapping around here, you should check out postcardx.net. (God, I hope hyperlinks work here. If not, sorry.)

I've been doing px! for about a year now and have gotten some great stuff and even made some friends through it. Loads o' fun. Painless to join.

I don't quite understand how px! works over there 8-) apart from I'm supposed to send the person a postcard. Then what?

I'm not all that familiar with it... but here's my guess : you can choose to send a postcard, or you can join and get cards... it seems to be an on-your-honor system.

I do key word searches and find out what people like, then I make postcards specific to their likes (brown cardbord, color laser prints & an UHU stick).. and each person I send gets a postcard that is maybe a run of 1 of 3 or perhaps a run of 1.

I know gluing an image to a postcard sized piece of thin cardboard isn't that advanced, but I like the color of cardboard, and it's texture. It makes a nice frame for just about anything you could print up and glue on it.

I rarely find anything I like in mass produced postcards, I like the spur of the moment printup and glue down - then mail it.
